Welcome Moms!
Come join the fun! We love to meet new friends and connect with old friends at all our events. We look forward to seeing you soon!
The Mission of Mothers with Young Children (MYC) is to create an environment for mothers that will provide the opportunity for spiritual, emotional, personal and intellectual growth.
We are a ministry of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville and welcome all moms no matter your spiritual background! To learn more about our parish, click on the logo in the header.

MYC AREAS
Faith Formation:
Faith Formation organizes events to help us to become the faith-fueled women and families God calls us to be. Examples include weekly prayer via text during lent and advent, lessons with our children, & our annual one-day retreat.
Programming:
Meetings are held monthly on Thursday mornings and are open to all MYC members. Local speakers present at these meetings on a variety of topics. Childcare is provided in an adjoining room during meetings at a small cost so moms can have quiet time to listen and socialize. See the website for a list of upcoming speakers!
Charity:
MYC members engage in a variety of charitable service projects. Events are planned in collaboration with local nonprofits. Members gather together to serve meals, adopt families at Christmas through Catholic Charities, arrange diaper drives, and more.
Events/Mom’s Night Out:
MYC offers members social events. These events typically occur in the evenings and on the weekends. The planning board members plan events for mom’s only, families, and couples’ nights.
Family Meals:
MYC supports members welcoming new babies or facing special circumstances by organizing meal trains. Expectant mothers share their family members' tastes and preferences, and current members volunteer to prepare and deliver meals.
Senior Brunch:
Each spring we host an event inviting local senior citizens to gather in the Koenig Center with friends and enjoy a breakfast provided by our members. We have about 100 attendees each year and the seniors love it! Our next Senior Brunch event will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025.
Summer Playgroups:
The kids still need to play in the summer! Although the regularly scheduled areas take a break during the summer months we still love to get together. Join us at park for some fun outdoor play!
